Objective FR Methodology Layer

Objective FR is the deterministic layer built from stored bout data only. The launch metric set is intentionally narrow and windowed so users can audit what is being measured. Raw values are stored in natural form with eligibility counts, then normalized in a derived layer where higher is better.

FiteQuant Rating (FR) is the internal fighter rating framework used to structure model inputs across the platform. This page covers the objective FR layer.

Quick Navigation

This page explains what the objective FiteQuant Rating layer is intended to represent, where its limits sit, and how to audit its influence in-product.

Interpretation Boundary

Objective FR is the objective layer of the FiteQuant Rating framework. It is deterministic from stored bout data, but it is still only as good as the underlying data coverage and window design.

Deterministic does not mean assumption-free: metric windows, eligibility rules, and opponent-quality handling still matter.

Time-Safety Caveat

Not every objective-derived metric is equally strict from a time-safety perspective. Where a metric depends on opponent ratings or other derived values, that dependency should be interpreted carefully in leakage-sensitive analysis.

For leakage-sensitive validation, use strict Backtest mode rather than assuming every objective label is automatically safe in every context.

How To Audit It

You can stress-test the objective layer by increasing its weight in Model Builder, then comparing behavior across the same settled sample.

If a model only works when one narrow recent-window metric is overweighted, users should treat that as a fitting risk rather than a discovery.

Win Rate Last 3

Recent core outcome rate over the last 3 eligible bouts.

Stat Definition
Win Rate Last 3 Wins divided by eligible bouts in the last 3-bout window.

Ko Rate Last 3

Recent stoppage finishing rate over the last 3 eligible bouts.

Stat Definition
Ko Rate Last 3 Wins by KO/TKO/RTD divided by eligible bouts in the last 3-bout window.

Activity Last 3 In Last 12m

How much of recent activity happened inside the last 12 months.

Stat Definition
Activity Last 3 In Last 12m Share of last 3 eligible bouts with bout date in the last 12 months.

Opponent Rating Last 3

Recent opposition level over the last 3 eligible bouts.

Stat Definition
Opponent Rating Last 3 Mean opponent rating across the last 3 eligible bouts (non-strict-time-safe metric).

Trend Score Last 5

Recency-oriented result quality over the last 5 eligible bouts.

Stat Definition
Trend Score Last 5 Outcome-quality mean with an improving-form bonus; all wins score 100.
